Expert Care for Neurodivergence, Trauma, and Relationships—Grounded in Self-Compassion and Backed by Science

Who I Am

I’m Dr. Rami Nijjar, a clinical psychologist with over 15 years of experience helping individuals, couples, and organizations navigate neurodivergence, trauma, and complex relationships. My work blends therapies like EMDR, parts work, and schema therapy with a foundation in mindfulness and self-compassion—tools that create lasting, meaningful change.

My PhD research examined resilience in the offspring of parents with bipolar disorder, a focus that shaped my lifelong commitment to understanding intergenerational mental health. Since then, I have expanded my expertise to support not only individuals and couples but also workplaces, universities, and healthcare systems seeking to build cultures of resilience.

What I Offer Individuals AND COUPLES

  • Psychological Assessments for ASD, ADHD, and full-spectrum mental health concerns.

  • Therapy for Trauma and Anxiety using mindfulness and self compassion, parts work, EMDR, and schema therapy.

  • Couples and Sex Therapy and Coaching, with a specialization in neurodivergent relationships and intimacy.

  • Self-Compassion Groups designed for neurodivergent thinkers and trauma survivors.

What I Offer Organizations

  • Workshops and Trainings on mindfulness and self-compassion for teams, reducing burnout, improving relationships, and enhancing resilience and innovation.

  • Programs on Workplace Dynamics, supporting diversity, equity, and inclusion initiatives.

  • Consultation and Keynotes at national and international conferences on intimacy, resilience, and neurodivergence.

  • Resilience at Work, my organizational arm, providing evidence-based strategies for healthier, more effective workplaces.

    Why Self-Compassion?

At the heart of all my work is self-compassion. Self compassion is not as soft as it sounds. It is actually a powerful skill backed by science. One that I have witness changes people’s lives for the better. Research shows that self compassion reduces shame and burnout, improves performance, strengthens relationships, and builds resilience at every level: individual, relational, and organizational.

Whether I’m working with a client in therapy or leading a corporate workshop, self-compassion is the lens that transforms struggle into growth.
